Message to parents:
My personal journey in faith has revolved time and again around our human capacity to reason, wonder, and appreciate the beautiful things God has strewn throughout creation. The core components of this realism-driven approach to life evaded me as I grew up in a public school, but I’ve since learned to think and apply the faculties of my mind to an authentic pursuit of truth. I know that the values of a classical education would have been indispensable as I sought the greater purpose of life, so I’m honored to share my time and experience with the Chesterton Academy of Knoxville. I’m confident that many of our students will find the joy and truth I sought after for many years, and they will do so in a community of wonderful people. As a board, we are so glad to invite you into our joyful family, and we hope you will find great inspiration in the ever-growing world of classical education.

Message to parents:
I enjoyed my academic experience at Georgia Tech for its rigor and commitment to excellence, but I knew that something was off in the mindset of my community. In retrospect, I see that many of my classmates lost sight of the good, true, and beautiful aspects of education as they delved deeply into their technical fields without the light of wonder to guide them. I admired their work ethic, but it seemed that many of my classmates believed that truth only existed in the context of mathematical calculations or scientific observations - they were lacking an integrated sense of faith that could explore truth in the world not only around them, but also within themselves. Ever since then, I’ve developed a great desire to see the world of education shift towards discussion of God and the transcendentals as the basis of exploring everything else. The Chesterton Academy provides just such an experience, and I am confident that our school will introduce many students and families to the riches of wonder, joy, and truth.
